We had our ultrasound today to double check baby's measurements and she is big!! She already weighs 8lb 4 oz and according to her head & leg measurements is at least a week ahead. But her belly (which also equals her shoulders, the wider the harder to pass through at birth) is measuring at 42 weeks!!! YIKES! We also got 3D type pics of her sweet little chubby face & she's so cute! She has my nose LOL
So after discussing with my OB and comparing dates (mine vs the ultrasound vs her size, for more info see previous posts) we settled on a new induction date of the 21st of August. And as if the dates weren't enough, I'm already dilated to 2 cm & effaced at 75%, which is real progress since we couldn't even get a cervix check last week LOL!!
That means we will have her about a week earlier than what we originally planned for. Now I'm totally excited & anxious!! I go back in on the 18th to get checked and confirm the induction date. My OB said she will strip the membranes (ouch!!) and see if we can't provoke her out on her own. As I have been saying the last few weeks it seems like she's trying to get out on her own as it is! She's in position and seems ready to go. I'll update more as I learn more!
